Cookery School & Cantina in Almeria
Christine Leman, owner and creator of Pig and Fig catering, set up this unique bespoke catering service in Southern Spain in early 2019 offering catering for private dining, events, weddings and to compliment this Pig and Fig catering also operates a cookery school offering classes including tapas cookery sessions, Mediterranean vegetarian dishes, canapes, food demonstrations with wine pairing and seasonal masterclasses as well as a number of bespoke courses.
The cookery school has a stunning kitchen which has been designed by Christine and a local architect. Whilst the kitchen is used for preparing food for the private dining events and weddings, it has been carefully created so it can be used as a cookery school as well.
There are a number of classes which focus on the beautiful food of the Mediterranean, capturing many typical dishes from the region but with a modern twist, students will be able to actively participate in the classes. As well as offering the cookery classes and food demonstrations, Christine will arrange pop up supper clubs throughout the year.

With a wealth of experience and over 30 years in the catering industry Christine and her team aim to deliver a quality, professional service with outstanding food.
Our menus are created using local knowledge and seasonality, but as a client you can be involved in creating your own bespoke menu with guidance from Christine and her team.
Whichever location you choose for your wedding or special event, whether it be costal or rural, we will ensure your requirements are met.
We are incredibly lucky to live in a region of Southern Spain that has such wonderful fresh produce which we use to create our menus.
